地质

上海市位于一级大地构造单元分界线江山一一绍兴深断裂的北西侧,属于扬子准地台北东边缘的一部分,区内具有扬子准地台较为古老的基底,并与南黄海古老结晶基底存在着某种内在的联系,前晋宁旋回与晋宁旋回为地槽发展阶段,其间发生的前晋宁运动使地槽早期沉积的火山岩与碳酸盐岩产生高绿片岩相一一低绿片岩相变质,局部出现混合岩化现象嗣后的晋宁运动(主幕),席卷了地槽阶段的全部沉积,使砂泥质岩石产生低绿片岩相变质,并随着扬子地槽的全面褶皱回返而转化成地台加里东旋回为准地台发展阶段,而震旦系至下古生界海相地层发育,形成了由碳酸盐岩及碎屑岩类组成的地台“第一套沉积盖层”。加里东运动在区内以差异升降运动抬升为主,因区内迄今尚未见及由泥盆系至三叠系组成的“第二套沉积盖层”,因此对于华力西一一印支旋回的情况不明。 [199]

地形地貌

上海市地处长江三角洲冲积平原,地势坦荡低平,平均海拔4米左右,并略呈东高西低之状,像微微倾斜的半个碟子,境内西部有天马山、佘山、薛山、凤凰山等残丘,号称“云间九峰”,其中天马山是境内陆上最高点,海拔98.2米;境内北面长江入海处有崇明、长兴、横沙、九段沙等岛屿,由长江挟带下来的泥沙冲积而成,其中崇明岛是中国第三大岛,海域上有大金山岛、小金山岛、浮山岛、佘山岛等基岩岛,皆为江口沙洲,其中大金山海拔103.70米,是上海境内最高点。 [38] [44]全境具有3种不同的地貌,即碟形洼地、碟缘高地、江口沙洲,其中最低点为西部淀山湖一带的淀泖洼地,海拔仅1~2米;泗泾、亭林、金卫一线以东的黄浦江两岸地区为碟缘高地,海拔4米左右;浦东钦公塘以东地区为滨海平原,海拔4~5米。 [44]

上海市属亚热带季风性气候,气候特征四季分明、日照充分、雨量充沛,四季通常春秋较短、冬夏较长,当西太平洋副热带高压静止锋稳定在长江下游及上海附近时,就会有多雨、闷热、潮湿的梅雨天气。截至2022年,全市年平均气温17.7℃,极端最低气温为6.7℃(崇明地区)、极端最高气温为40.9℃(中心城区),日最高气温≥35℃的高温日数有50天;全市年平均降水量1086.8毫米,全年平均降水日数116天,其中日降水量≥25毫米的大雨以上日数有12天、日降水量≥50毫米的暴雨日数有4天;全市年日照时数1829小时,各区年日照时数1535~2135小时,其中宝山地区最多、中心城区最少。

水文

黄浦江 [46]

上海市地处长江入海口、太湖流域东缘,境内江、河、湖、塘相间,水网交织。 [206]截至2022年,全市共有河道(湖泊)46822条(个),河道(湖泊)面积共652.9355平方千米,河湖水面率10.30%,其中河道46771条,长30397.66千米,面积577.4380平方千米,河网密度每平方千米4.79千米, [45]境内主要水域、河道有长江口、黄浦江及其支流大泖港、圆泄泾、斜塘和太浦河、拦路港,以及吴淞江、蕰藻浜、川杨河、淀浦河、大治河、金汇港、油墩港等。 [38]其中,黄浦江是上海市最大河流。 [46]境内还有着湖泊51个,面积75.4975平方千米, [45]主要集中在与江苏、浙江交界的西部洼地,最大湖泊为淀山湖, [206]而沿海水域包括河口、海湾、近海水域(通称长江口外水域)以及毗连的东海陆架部分水域、南黄海部分陆架,沿海0~-20米等深线范围内水域面积0.72万平方千米。 [41]全市可划分为14个水利片,合计面积为6158.62平方千米,占全市陆域总面积97.13%。

土壤

上海市土壤类型可分为48个土系,涉及4个土纲、4个亚纲、6个土类、11个亚类、19个土族,其中土系分别为金汇、佘山、新浜、朱家角、张堰、庄行、赵巷、大团、老港、绿华、罗店、泥城、山阳等, [169]土壤有着西南部零散山丘上残积弱富铝化母质发育的黄棕壤,湖沼平原、滨海平原由不同母质发育成的隐域性土壤水稻土、灰潮土,三角洲平原、滩涂发育的滨海盐土。 [38]土壤特点为地下水位较高,土系大多具有人为滞水土壤水分状况,指的是地表至2米深度内存在难透水联上层,使上部土层常态年中有较长时间形成上层滞水的侧向流动,而水耕条件下,由于难透水犁地层存在,耕作层被灌溉水或被田埂人为截留的径流水和雨水饱和,被称为“人为滞水土壤水分状况”,因此水田占农田比例较高,约为90%,易于耕种,地力等级较高。 [169]

自然灾害
